With homebuyers travelling from nearby cities and towns including Bristol, Gloucester and Cheltenham, the site allows individuals the chance to purchase a bigger home without being affected by soaring house prices.

This comes as research from last year found that property costs in Bristol had risen faster than any other British city.

Rhys and Lucy Buckley have just purchased a four-bedroom home at the Mill Meadows development after choosing to relocate from Bristol.

The couple said: “We chose to move to the Redrow site as we wanted to upgrade to a larger family home, that our daughter can grow up in, without crippling ourselves with a huge mortgage and then not having any disposable income left.

“We were able to get a house at almost half the cost and as Bristol is only half an hour away, we don’t have to compromise on our jobs or social lives as we are still within a close distance to the city.

Kate Lacey, area sales manager at Redrow South Wales, said: “We are very proud to be helping young people continue their way up the property ladder.

“The UK is currently experiencing a housing need and we are committed to providing cost-effective homes that means no one person has to settle.

“The Mill Meadows development offers such a great way of life with it being so close to the countryside, so we hope to welcome many more people.”

Nestled on the banks of the Severn estuary, Mill Meadows is situated in a peaceful environment but with easy links to the M4 and M5 meaning that the local facilities are on your doorstep within a short drive.

With a range of two, three and four-bedroom homes available from £192,995, homebuyers can benefit from a range of house types to suit their needs.

Redrow’s Great Milton Park development in Newport, which launched last weekend, also provides relocators with a cost-effective alternative to living in the city.

Situated on the right side of the tunnels, making it easy to commute, the site has a range of three and four-bedroom homes starting from £262,995.
