From humble beginnings 16 years ago, the annual Welsh Perry and Cider Festival will return to Caldicot Castle again over the bank holiday weekend Friday 26 – Monday 29 May, marking half a decade of working with this picturesque Monmouthshire venue.

The fifth anniversary of the festival at the castle promises to be another successful event with an exciting local music line up and the infamous Welsh cider.

The festival has grown steadily since moving to the castle, which has seen tickets put under high demand; last year all Saturday and Sunday tickets sold out as the venue hit capacity in the early afternoon. With this year’s live music really showcasing the best of the region, and the growing reputation of the event, the organisers anticipate the discounted early bird tickets to be snapped up well in advance as fans of the festival ensure their entry.

Advance tickets are now available online at welshcider.ticketsource.co.uk, with a discounted early bird offer running until Easter. With 16 live artists across the weekend, the festival proves itself as a great value weekend, with an added level of family activities on the bank holiday Monday. Camping is also available onsite for visitors to make a weekend of it, or stay an evening to fully enjoy the day’s events.

“We aim to bring everything we have learned from previous festivals to this year’s event, topping the previous years” commented festival committee member Mike Penney. “The Welsh Perry and Cider Society supports craft perry and cider producers throughout Wales all year round, by developing, promoting and helping to sustain the industry. The festival is our opportunity to celebrate all that work and showcase the incredible range of products that we have.”
