It’s lovely to be looking at beautiful images but there is a much more important purpose to the group which probably even the contributors haven’t considered. “Each image, every photo, is a mark in time, a historical record of life in the Wye Valley and beyond. The importance of this can’t be underestimated,” says Wye Life Creative Director, Mark Roberts. “I am a keen amateur photographer, and every image I see on the Wye Life Photo Corner inspires me to take more. As an art director, creative designer and publisher, I have been around photography most of my career and I can honestly say the standard of photography in this group is exceptional – there are images appearing on the Wye Life Photo Corner that would not be out of place in National Geographic.”
